Did you know that if they can virtually experience a place in the metaverse, 46% of travelers are more likely to visit places they wouldn’t have otherwise considered?

Or that 43% of travelers who seek adventure may be influenced by virtual reality when making their travel plans? This was disclosed in the Booking.com Travel Predictions for 2023 study, which polled over 24,000 tourists from 32 different nations. More than one-third of travelers (35%) are interested in using VR and AR to spend several days traveling in the metaverse.

However, three out of five travelers claim that virtual travel isn’t as fulfilling as actual travel. Global travelers won’t be prepared to use the new technology and travel in the metaverse in 2023, according to Booking’s conclusion.

In the long run, though, it’s likely that using VR while traveling will become more prevalent. Many tourists may soon visit a location virtually with their metaverse avatars before making travel arrangements in the real world.

The metaverse offers new ways for travelers to experience the world without being constrained by the laws of physics and with reimagined international locations. Despite the fact that it’s hard to imagine how “sci-fi traveling” would function, virtual reality (VR) can give users the impression that they’re somewhere else in the world without having to leave their cozy homes.

Future versions of the 3D Touch will provide a fully immersive experience that mimics actual sensations like sunbathing and touching sand on the beach.
