Younger generations anticipate using the metaverse much more frequently
It is discovered that in the next five years, Gen Z, millennials, and Gen X consumers expect to spend four to five hours per day in the metaverse.
Generation Z accounts for roughly 60% of metaverse users. This generation spends more hours per day online and is more immersed in digital culture than any other.
This study also reveals that Gen Z uses apps, websites, and podcasts to socialize and follow trends, news, and events.
As a result, Generation Z associates augmented reality and virtual world experiences with playing, watching, and socializing.
In the next five years, consumers will find immersive shopping to be the most interesting metaverse activity, followed by telehealth appointments, education, travel, and socializing in VR or using AR.
For thousands of dollars, Microsoft and Magic Leap primarily sell the best augmented reality (AR) devices. However, companies like Meta, Google, and others are well along in the development of accessible and stylish AR smart glasses for the general public. According to reports, Apple will introduce its immersive wearable device in January 2023.
It’s important to understand that engaging with Gen Z through the metaverse is a great strategy. In other words, it is a place to build a community rather than just a place to advertise goods or services. In this way, the metaverse is envisioned as a digital environment where people can interact, play, shop, and learn.
